DataTalks.Club has opened registration for the 2026 cohort of its popular, free Machine Learning Zoomcamp, which is scheduled to begin on September 14. The announcement comes as the community-run course's GitHub repository surpassed 14,600 stars, landing it back on the platform's trending list. The four-month program is designed to take students from raw datasets to fully containerized prediction services running in production environments.

The curriculum bridges the gap between theoretical machine learning and practical software engineering. Students will work with a robust modern technology stack that includes Python, NumPy, and pandas for data preparation, alongside scikit-learn for classical machine learning. For neural networks and deep learning, the course incorporates PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Keras. Crucially, the program emphasizes deployment, teaching students how to use FastAPI, Docker, AWS Lambda, Kubernetes, TensorFlow Serving, and KServe to package and orchestrate their models.

To enroll, participants need at least one year of programming experience and comfort using the command line, though no prior machine learning knowledge is required. To earn the course certificate, students must complete two end-to-end projects and participate in peer reviews during the live cohort. For those who cannot join the live sessions, all materials remain permanently free and self-paced via a dedicated YouTube playlist.

For aspiring practitioners, this program addresses a major industry bottleneck: the transition of models from experimental notebooks to production-ready software. By focusing on containerization and serverless deployment alongside core ML concepts like regression, classification, and decision trees, the course equips developers with the exact DevOps and engineering skills that modern AI teams demand.
