SpaceXAI Refreshes Grokipedia With New Design
SpaceXAI has rolled out a visual redesign for Grokipedia, its AI-powered Wikipedia competitor, signaling renewed development on the platform after months of apparent stagnation.

SpaceXAI has released a v0.3 update for Grokipedia, its AI-driven alternative to Wikipedia, introducing a visual overhaul and a new logo. The update, described by SpaceXAI head of design Benji Taylor as a "newly refreshed Grokipedia," comes shortly after the platform resumed updating its entries following a multi-month period of inactivity.
The redesign transforms the platform's homepage, which previously consisted of only a logo and a search bar. The new layout features a list of featured articles represented as interactive, rotatable digital books, alongside a horizontally scrolling shelf of book spines displaying the most-read articles. Additionally, the homepage now includes a tracker for the latest edits, while a revamped live edits page allows users to monitor recent changes more efficiently. Individual article pages have also received minor updates, including tighter line spacing and cleaner formatting for the key-fact tables located at the top of entries.
Grokipedia originally launched in its v0.1 iteration in late October 2025, utilizing AI-cloned pages from Wikipedia, and received its v0.2 update one month later. However, development seemingly stalled early the following year. A report published by Lawfare in August noted that the platform had not updated any entries in more than three months. The release of v0.3 indicates that SpaceXAI has renewed its focus on the project.
For developers and researchers tracking AI-generated knowledge bases, these updates suggest that SpaceXAI is committed to maintaining Grokipedia as an active product rather than an abandoned experiment. The improved layout and live-tracking features make it easier for users to audit how the platform's AI models ingest and update information in real time, offering a more transparent look at automated encyclopedia generation.
