Google has expanded its marketing ecosystem by introducing new agentic capabilities powered by its Gemini models into Google Ads and Google Analytics. The core of this update is Ask Advisor, an in-product AI assistant designed to help marketers quickly interpret data and execute strategic decisions. Currently available in beta for English language accounts, these features aim to streamline workflows by transforming complex performance metrics into actionable insights.

Under the new updates, Google Analytics now features AI Overviews at the top of its homepage. These overviews provide instant summaries of significant performance shifts, such as traffic fluctuations or seasonal sales spikes, since the user's last login. Marketers can opt to receive these updates via email or phone notifications. If a specific data point requires deeper investigation, a single click sends the context directly to Ask Advisor. Similarly, the Google Ads homepage has been redesigned with personalized insight cards and a prompt box where users can type custom queries to analyze competitor impacts or market trends.

The update also introduces a feature called Dashboards in Google Ads, which will soon expand to Google Analytics. Dashboards allows practitioners to generate visual reports from raw data using simple text prompts, with each report accompanied by an automatically generated real-time summary explaining the underlying trends. Additionally, Google Analytics users can now use Ask Advisor to access a new benchmarking tool. This feature compares an organization's campaign performance against anonymized averages from similar businesses, helping marketers identify areas for growth.

For marketing practitioners, these tools represent a shift from manual data crunching to rapid, prompt-based analysis. By automating the creation of visual reports and providing instant context on performance anomalies, the system reduces the time required to diagnose campaign issues. This allows teams to shift their focus from basic reporting to strategic execution, adjusting their ad spend and targeting parameters in real time to capture emerging demand.
